        自2007年7月1日起,IELTS考试将对其写作和口语考试的计分方法进行一个重要的微调。

       IELTS考试听、说、读、写四部分的考试分数范围将仍然是1分至9分。但是从7月1日起,写作和口语考试的分数也将引入半分制, 与阅读和听力考试的分数保持一致。目前,阅读和听力考试的分数是以整分和半分来计分的,而写作和口语考试的分数只是以整分来计分。

       7月1日后,每一单项考试的分值都将是:

       0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 6.5, 7.0, 7.5, 8.0, 8.5, 9.0

       该变化是完善IELTS考试的一系列举措的最新动作, 是在全球不断征求考生、教师、认可机构和其他相关者意见的基础上制定的。

       这意味着在考试成绩单上写作和口语将有可能出现带半分的成绩。例如:考生以往的写作和口语成绩只会是6.0或者7.0;7月1日后,他们的成绩可能会是6.06.57.0

       对于认可IELTS成绩的院校和相关机构,新的计分方法将会帮助他们更精确地了解学生的英语口语和写作能力。 如果他们制定招生标准时既要标明总分又要标明单项分,这将尤其有帮助。

       对于考生来说,IELTS考试成绩将使他们更清楚的了解自己的语言水平。各个单项成绩将以同样的方式进行计分,这也使得考试成绩更加易懂。        这一计分方式的变化并不会影响判卷所依据的标准。考官将采用和目前完全一样的评分标准对考生进行评分。而且,考试的形式也不会有任何变化。

教育部:下半年将扩充考点 缓解托福网考报名难       

        托福考试“一位难求”的局面将可能得到缓解,记者昨日从教育部考试中心获悉,今年下半年托福网考将增设新考点和扩充现有考点容量。

  托福网考从去年9月引入中国后,一直面临考位紧张的状况。最近的一次报名是在4月28日中午12点启动的今年7-10月的托福网考报名,仅仅4个半小时,上海、江苏、浙江的所有考位就已全部报满,不少未报上名的考生心急如焚。记者昨天再次登陆托福报名网站,发现全国各省市所有考点7-10月的考位均已挂上了“报满”牌。业内人士分析,每年年底是美国多数高校留学的申请期,因此下半年一般都是托福考的“旺季”,考生如果没赶不上,留学计划可能会被搁置。对此教育部考试中心称,将会积极与ETS协调增加考试频率。而从今年5月到年底将有相当数量的新增考点,已经投入运行的考点也会有容量上的增加。同时,网考报名比纸笔考试报名更有灵活性和扩充性,不排除考试一周前仍可报名,因此希望考生关注这一变化,合理安排报名时间。
